Your Role: As the Ingredients Category Manager, you will hold a key position within our Procurement team. Your primary responsibility will be to devise and execute sourcing strategies aligned with the Group's objectives. This role encompasses sourcing decisions, negotiations, and managing supplier relationships in accordance with our purchasing policies and ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and implement sourcing strategies for designated ingredient categories across the Intersnack Group, utilizing established Strategic Sourcing processes and tools.
- Negotiate supplier contracts to secure advantageous commercial agreements that align with our strategic goals.
- Conduct regular analyses and provide reports on market trends within the ingredient category, leveraging insights from suppliers and industry events.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Europe to develop initiatives aimed at sustainable cost reduction.
- Foster strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with the category sourcing strategy.
- Contribute to achieving Intersnack Group objectives related to cost, quality, service, and innovation.
- Assist in resolving operational challenges, including efficiency improvements and supply chain disruptions.
- Engage in ad hoc projects as directed by management.
- Support the team in the coherent development and application of broader company policies and objectives.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in business management or a related field.
- 4-7 years of experience in a strategic procurement role within the food industry is essential.
- Fluency in English and German, with additional language skills being advantageous.
- Knowledge of flavors and spices is a plus.
- Strong analytical and data management capabilities.
- Ability to cultivate strong working relationships and function effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Demonstrated personal drive, proactivity, and a results-oriented approach.
- Willingness to travel within Europe (up to 30%).
- A commitment to corporate responsibility towards colleagues, customers, and the environment.
