Accountant - General Ledger Management (m/f/d)

GeAT - Erfurt is a prominent organization seeking a dedicated Accountant specializing in General Ledger Management (m/f/d) for a full-time position, with the potential for a direct permanent role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurate recording of all financial transactions in accordance with HGB standards within the relevant accounts.
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with HGB, including the execution of closing entries such as provisions and deferrals.
• Maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounts and cost centers to ensure a precise financial overview.
• Generation of regular reports detailing the financial status of the organization.
• Collaboration with accounts receivable, accounts payable, and asset accounting, as well as the controlling department.
• Ongoing process optimization in general ledger accounting to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Completed vocational training or higher education in business administration, finance, or a related discipline, such as a tax clerk, certified accountant, or financial accountant (m/f/d).
• Demonstrated professional experience in financial accounting, particularly in general ledger management.
• Proficiency in SAP and MS Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent command of the German language, both spoken and written.
• Ability to work in a structured, meticulous, and independent manner.
• Strong reliability, sense of responsibility, and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
