Role Summary
In this role, you will engage in daily SCRUM meetings with the development team to discuss upcoming project topics, address inquiries, and evaluate new requirements from internal stakeholders. Following this, you will participate in team meetings to gain insights from management and updates from your colleagues. You will then review and refine the project plan, manage assigned tasks, and document progress in the tracking system. After a collaborative lunch, you will meet with the internal engineering process owner to clarify any outstanding questions from the morning's discussions. Your day will conclude with preparations for the next day's activities and the reporting for an upcoming project steering committee meeting.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development project for an engineering tool focused on electrical component and system design, including CAD (CAE). Coordinate the development team regarding requirements, priorities, and decision-making processes. Ensure the technical quality and performance of the solutions delivered. Serve as the primary contact for project status and key performance indicators (budget, timeline, quality, and status). Guarantee the achievement of project goals aligned with Siemens Energy's engineering objectives in the high voltage switchgear sector. Identify risks and opportunities during project execution and propose technical solutions. Act as an advocate for engineering process automation and inspire the vision of data-driven switchgear design.Qualifications
A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering, physics, or a related field, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience as a software project manager. Demonstrated experience in agile (IT) project management within the engineering sector for at least 3 years. Extensive hands-on experience collaborating with product team members, including product management, engineering, data engineering, and software development. Certification as a project manager by PMI, PMP, or PRINCE2, including knowledge of agile methodologies (e.g., SCRUM) and experience in stakeholder, contract, and supplier management. Strong customer focus, open-mindedness, and a commitment to continuous personal development, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a global and multicultural environment. Proficiency in both spoken and written English, with knowledge of German at a B2 level and any additional language being an advantage.-
