Daily Responsibilities
Your day begins with a brief SCRUM meeting where the development team reviews upcoming tasks, addresses immediate queries, and evaluates new requirements from internal stakeholders. Following this, you will engage in an internal team meeting to gather updates from management and insights into team activities. You will then assess the design specifications for an interface essential for the next development phase. Subsequently, you will collaborate with developers to resolve outstanding questions related to databases and data management. After documenting decisions and outlining next steps, you will prepare for the following day's activities. Once completed, your workday concludes, allowing you to enjoy your evening.
Impact and Contributions
Guide the development project to enhance an engineering tool for electrical component and system design, including CAD (CAE) from a technical standpoint. Define the architecture of the engineering tool encompassing both front-end and back-end solutions. Ensure the technical quality and performance of the developed solution. Serve as the primary contact for the development team to clarify and resolve technical inquiries. Ensure project milestones are met to achieve Siemens Energy's engineering goals within the high voltage switchgear sector. Identify risks and opportunities during project execution and formulate technical solution proposals. Act as an advocate for engineering process automation and inspire the vision of data-driven switchgear design.Qualifications
· Master's degree in computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering, physics, or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a software solution architect or in a similar role.
· Extensive hands-on experience collaborating with product team members, including product management, engineering, data engineering, and software developers.
· Strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of making data-driven decisions while effectively communicating analytical results.
· Proven expertise in application architecture design within the engineering domain (CAE).
· Familiarity with Siemens PLM Teamcenter and experience in designing technical solutions that encompass data modeling, (web) interfaces, and engineering process automation.
· Proficient in CAD interface design, including NX and AutoCAD.
· In-depth knowledge of programming languages such as C#/C++.
· Strong customer focus, open-mindedness, and a commitment to continuous skill development, alongside excellent communication abilities and adaptability in a global, multicultural environment.
· Results-oriented with exceptional interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills, along with a passion for data and analytics, driving data value across all organizational facets and ecosystems.
· Proficient in both spoken and written English, with knowledge of German at a B2 level and proficiency in additional languages considered an advantage.
