- Process Development & Transfer: Spearhead the advancement and transition of innovative SiC power technologies to initiation and scaling phases.
- Process Qualification: Formulate and validate new and derivative methodologies for SiC discrete power technologies.
- Process Parameters: Determine and oversee critical process parameters, correlating device characteristics with process attributes for SiC MOSFETs and diodes.
- Project & Team Leadership: Direct projects and cross-functional teams to enhance process integration, assess and define best-known methods (BKM), and establish process specifications to fulfill required device standards.
- Data Analysis: Employ comprehensive data analysis from wafer parametric evaluations, process control monitoring structures, and in-line process control to correlate process and device characteristics, collaborating closely with the design team.
- Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement: Identify root causes and establish sustainable corrective measures in instances of process deviations or reliability failures, while driving continuous improvement initiatives to boost stability, yield, reliability, and production costs of existing technologies.
- Technology Introduction: Explore and implement new SiC processes, process modules, and technology roadmaps to support new device manufacturing platforms, while assessing SiC manufacturing equipment, materials, experiments, and methodologies.
- Interface Management: Serve as the primary contact for all process-related matters between production, quality assurance, technology/product development, and backend operations.
- Research Collaboration: Partner with internal and external research institutions to facilitate the introduction and optimization of new SiC processes.
- Academic Qualification: Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Semiconductor Technology, Microsystems Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: More than 10 years of experience in SiC processing, ideally within SiC wafer fabrication.
- Expertise: Profound knowledge of semiconductor device physics and process integration, with a particular focus on SiC power devices, especially MOSFETs and diodes.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Skilled in technical problem-solving methodologies and proficient in evaluation and data processing tools.
- Experimental Skills: Capable of designing, executing, and analyzing process experiments with precision; a proven history of leading successful projects.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and presentation abilities in English. Proficiency in German and/or Chinese is advantageous.
- Working Style: Strategic thinker with a well-organized and independent approach to work.
- Teamwork: Effective collaborator with strong leadership qualities in a diverse environment.
- Motivation: Proactive attitude and readiness to venture beyond comfort zones to achieve significant milestones.
