Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver Tier 1 Technical Support services. Provide Tier 2 assistance for various Network Administrator tasks, encompassing Networking, Systems, DevOps, Information Assurance, and escalate issues according to established SOPs. Manage the operation, troubleshooting, restoration, configuration, installation, and security of government-provided networks, ensuring a minimum uptime of 99% during core business hours. Conduct site assessments for potential new wireless service locations. Offer support services for customer wired or LAN and wireless networks. Implement IOS updates on switches and routers as needed, troubleshooting devices when required. Oversee cable management, performing preventive maintenance checks and unit-level maintenance on CAT-5/6 and fiber communication systems in line with industry standards. Administer the GCMC Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and/or HCL BigFix, including managing test groups for software updates and patches, ensuring compliance with documented SOPs. Assist in managing the Mobile Device Management system for all approved mobile devices. Install and configure new Windows servers, managing hardware, services, settings, directories, storage, and access permissions in accordance with project requirements. Conduct daily system monitoring to verify the integrity and availability of hardware and server resources, reviewing logs and ensuring the completion of scheduled jobs such as backups. Required Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems administration. At least 2 years of networking experience. IAT II Security+ Certification is required. CCNA Wireless Certification or equivalent is preferred. Proficiency in German is necessary (candidates must have lived in Germany for at least one consecutive year). Experience in managing and troubleshooting a mid-sized virtual environment (VMware & vSphere), including backups and upgrades. Ability to create and maintain reports, Windows images, software deployment packages, and ensure accurate information is available upon request. Strong communication skills are essential. Capability to lift up to 35 kg.
This position requires on-site presence five days a week.
We provide support for relocation within Germany and assistance in obtaining the CompTia Security+ certification.
