About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Director of Distribution Operations to join our team at Levi Strauss & Co. in Dorsten, Germany.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of strategic plans to optimize logistics and supply chain operations across Europe.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including 3PL partners, to ensure seamless execution of logistics operations.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and reduce costs.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to the European Supply Chain organization to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Drive the implementation of new technologies and systems to enhance logistics operations and improve data analysis.
  • Manage and develop a high-performing team of logistics professionals to ensure the successful execution of logistics operations.
  • Develop and manage budgets and forecasts to ensure financial stability and growth.
  • Collaborate with the European Planning and Distribution teams to ensure smooth flow of products into all sales channels and their associated partners.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a Business-related field, with specialization in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain operations or project/process management.
  • 10+ years of experience in people management.
  • Proven experience as a Distribution Manager, preferably within a 3PL environment.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and distribution processes.
  • Excellent knowledge of European transportation regulations, international practices, and competitive market environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, focus on continuous improvement, risk management.
  • Proven track record in problem-solving and process improvements, including measurable outcomes.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP (preferably FMS), BI Reporting, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to read and apply operational metrics with the right balance between analytical and process understanding skills.
  • Fluent in English, with other European languages being an added value.
