Position: Industrial Mechanic - Procurement Specialist
A prominent engineering firm in the area is providing a direct placement opportunity for an Industrial Mechanic eager to shift into the administrative sector and assume procurement duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic and operational sourcing of production components
- Acquiring quotations and negotiating with suppliers on a global scale in close collaboration with various departments
- Finalizing individual and overarching framework agreements, including drafting contracts
- Overseeing supplier production facilities
- Continuous assessment and enhancement of the supplier portfolio
- Conducting market research to discover potential new suppliers
Candidate Profile:
- Completed vocational training in a metalworking field, such as industrial or machining mechanic
- Additional certification as a master or technician
- Proficient English skills and readiness to travel occasionally, both domestically and internationally
- Strong negotiation capabilities and the ability to assert decisions
