About the Role

We are seeking an experienced OT Security Engineer to join our team at Alpha Engineering KG in Munich.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement group-wide standard processes and procedures for automation and OT security
  • Collaborate with site teams to maintain OT/IT cybersecurity compliance
  • Manage OT/IT security risk situations at assigned sites and oversee remediation measures
  • Interact with local, regional, or global IT, OT experts, and external vendors for best practice solutions of incident response
  • Conduct internal OT assessments and audits at sites, documenting security measures and non-compliance to information security requirements
  • Support local OT teams with patching, antivirus, backup & restore, and asset inventory controls
  • Design and execute instrument to production or lab system connectivity
Requirements
  • University degree or comparable experience in automation, industrial IT, cybersecurity, or a related field
  • +5 years of professional experience in OT security (design, implementation, and operation) in an industrial environment
  • Advanced knowledge of OT systems and their orchestration, including DCS, PLC, SIS, Edge, HMI, IoT, and IIoT
  • Cybersecurity certifications, such as IEC 62443, CISSP, GICSP, or CISA, are beneficial
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and organizational skills, with experience in collaboration and teamwork
  • Fluent in English and German, with other languages an advantage
