Administrative Coordinator for Childcare Services Job Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for offering assistance and direction to families navigating the application process for childcare in daycare facilities, as well as for additional support and care in educational settings. This includes guidance on cost-sharing arrangements and contract discussions. Families may also seek your expertise regarding educational and participation benefits.


Key Responsibilities:

For Tariff Employees: You should possess qualifications in an administrative capacity, ideally with training as an administrative assistant or office communication specialist, and have completed VL I or a comparable qualification equivalent to at least DQR Level 4 or possess equivalent knowledge and experience.

For Civil Servants: You must meet the legal criteria for the second entry-level position in the General Administrative Service career group (LVO AVD).


Technical Skills Required:

Essential: Familiarity with relevant legal frameworks in childcare, including the Child Day Care Act (KitaG), Child Day Care Promotion Act (KitaFöG), and associated regulations; Proficiency in IT systems such as ISBJ Kita and ProFiskal (AHW). Highly Desirable: Comprehensive professional and legal knowledge, particularly in administrative law, civil code, social law (SGB I, II, VIII, X, XII), GGO I, AZG, VwVfG, VwGO, and data protection; Understanding of budgetary law (LHO and AV LHO).


Non-Technical Skills Required:

Essential: Capability to perform, learn, and adapt; Strong service orientation; Competence in diversity and understanding of migration society. Highly Desirable: Excellent organizational skills; Goal and results-oriented mindset; Resilience; Economic awareness; Strong communication abilities.
