Position: Industrial Mechanic - Procurement Specialist
A reputable engineering firm is seeking an experienced Industrial Mechanic to step into a pivotal role within the procurement department. This position is ideal for candidates looking to leverage their technical expertise in a more administrative capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage both strategic and day-to-day procurement of production components
- Source quotes and engage in negotiations with international suppliers, collaborating closely with various departments
- Draft and finalize individual contracts as well as global framework agreements
- Oversee supplier manufacturing facilities
- Continuously assess and enhance the supplier portfolio
- Conduct market research to discover potential new suppliers
Candidate Profile:
- Completed vocational training in a metalworking field, such as industrial or machining mechanic
- Possession of an additional qualification as a master craftsman or technician
- Proficient in English with a willingness to travel occasionally for business
- Strong negotiation skills and the capability to implement decisions effectively
