Responsibilities
- Ensure the repair of EM systems, refurbishment of critical components, and re-creation of assemblies
- Plan capacity for spare parts based on consumption data and customer pre-owned instrument (CPOI) intake
- Plan customer repairs of systems and components
- Capacity planning in bottlenecks and steering of partners and SSC employees
- Participation in the definition and implementation of new in-house repair concepts and strategies at product launches
- Efficient production control and throughput management based on stochastic data
- Responsibility for the WIP stock (Work-in-Progress) and fast production throughput (Lean Repair)
- Introduction of special measures in case of disruptions in repair
- Establishment and maintenance of the preparation work
- Introduction and monitoring of the use of SAP and ERP for production control
- Responsibility for cost compliance regarding cost centers and project/production orders
- Responsibility for the recording, examination, and offer preparation of system-specific upgrades based on customer requirements/preferences
- Leadership of the department and deployment control of employees according to qualification and suitability
Requirements
- Successfully completed engineering degree (e.g., electrical engineering, mechanical engineering) or comparable technical training
- Additional qualifications in project management or quality management are advantageous
- Several years of experience in leading personnel in the assembly and repair area
- Proven experience in the assembly and repair of electron and light microscopes or similar complex technical devices
- Experience with SAP and ERP systems for production and process control
- Excellent organizational skills to efficiently design and optimize complex work processes
- High attention to detail and the ability to set and maintain high quality standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal teams, customers, and external partners
- Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing, to operate effectively in an international environment
- Proactive approach to challenges and the ability to find quick and effective solutions
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and lead a team to achieve common goals
- Experience in developing and implementing new processes for continuous improvement of workflows
