Director of Quality Assurance

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and enhance the quality management structure within Germany.
  • Accountable for all quality-related matters and the technical oversight of the quality team.
  • Collaborate closely with the quality auditor to foster ongoing improvements in the IATF audit framework.
  • Establish strategies and objectives within the quality domain.
  • Set and monitor quality and environmental performance indicators.
  • Facilitate internal and external audits (clients and certifying bodies) in accordance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, OHSAS 18001, and VDA standards.
  • Identify areas for enhancement to ensure continuous process improvements, including the tracking of relevant initiatives.
  • Promote and elevate quality awareness among all staff members.

Candidate Profile

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role with initial leadership exposure.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Experience in quality management within the steel sector, particularly in the automotive industry.
  • Strong understanding of key standards such as ISO, VDA, QS 9000, FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, and APQP.
  • Excellent communication abilities.

Team Dynamics

  • Positioned in a location with a workforce of approximately 60 individuals.
  • Responsible for quality operations across four facilities.
  • Manage a team of five across these locations.
  • Report directly to the Chief Operations Officer.
  • Occasional travel across Germany may be necessary.
