Role Overview

As a prominent consulting and engineering firm in the Energy and Materials sectors, we are expanding our team and seeking an Architectural Building Specialist for an LNG project. The selected individual will play a critical role in ensuring that EPC contractors adhere to project specifications, standards, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

1. **Design Review and Coordination**

- **Design Oversight:** Evaluate and approve architectural designs, ensuring they align with project specifications and industry standards.

- **Coordination:** Collaborate with various disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil, HVAC, etc.) to ensure architectural integration.

- **Quality Control:** Confirm that designs and materials meet established quality standards.

2. **Construction Supervision**

- **Site Monitoring:** Conduct regular inspections of construction activities to ensure compliance with approved designs.

- **Compliance Checks:** Verify that contractors adhere to building codes and safety regulations.

- **Problem Resolution:** Address and resolve design and construction challenges, providing technical support to contractors.

3. **Project Management Support**

- **Schedule Monitoring:** Track architectural work progress against the project timeline, identifying potential delays.

- **Resource Management:** Oversee the allocation of materials and manpower to ensure efficiency.

- **Claims Management:** Review and manage contractor claims and variations.

4. **Quality Assurance and Control**

- **Inspection and Testing:** Supervise QA/QC processes, including inspections of architectural components.

- **Documentation:** Maintain thorough records of inspections and any modifications to designs.

5. **Communication and Reporting**

- **Liaison Role:** Facilitate communication between the owner, contractors, and stakeholders.

- **Reporting:** Prepare regular updates on architectural work status, including progress and issues.

- **Meetings:** Participate in various project meetings to ensure alignment.

6. **Regulatory Compliance and Permitting**

- **Permitting Assistance:** Aid in acquiring necessary permits and ensuring compliance with building codes.

- **Environmental Compliance:** Ensure architectural aspects meet sustainability standards.

7. **Safety and Risk Management**

- **Safety Compliance:** Ensure adherence to safety protocols in architectural activities.

- **Risk Mitigation:** Identify and address potential risks associated with architectural work.

8. **Commissioning and Handover**

- **Final Inspections:** Engage in final walkthroughs to confirm completion to required standards.

- **Handover Documentation:** Prepare and review documentation for architectural components.

Qualifications

- **Educational Background:** Degree in Architecture or a related field.

- **Experience:** Significant experience in architectural design and construction, particularly in industrial projects.

- **Knowledge:** Strong understanding of building codes and regulations.

- **Language Proficiency:** Fluent in both German and English.

- **Certifications:** Relevant certifications may be beneficial.
