We have a great opportunity for an Architectural building specialist to work on an LNG project in Stade, Germany. The chosen candidate will be overseeing and ensuring that the EPC contractors adhere to project specifications, standards, and regulations.


Role & Requirements

1. Design Review and Coordination

Design Oversight: Review and approve architectural designs, ensuring compliance with project specifications, local regulations, and industry standards.

Coordination: Coordinate with other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil, HVAC, etc.) to ensure architectural aspects are integrated seamlessly.

Quality Control: Verify that design and materials meet quality standards and project requirements.

2. Construction Supervision

Site Monitoring: Regularly inspect construction activities related to architectural elements, ensuring they are in accordance with approved designs and specifications.

Compliance Checks: Ensure the EPC contractors comply with building codes, health and safety regulations, and environmental laws.

Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve design and construction issues that arise, providing technical support and guidance to contractors.

3. Project Management Support

Schedule and Progress Monitoring: Track the progress of architectural work against the project schedule, identifying potential delays and working with the EPC contractor to mitigate them.

Resource Management: Monitor the allocation of resources, including materials and manpower, to ensure efficient use and avoid delays.

Claims and Change Management Control: review and approval/rejection of EPC Contractor claims and variations.

4. Quality Assurance and Control

Inspection and Testing: Oversee the quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes, including inspections and testing of architectural components.

Documentation: Ensure proper documentation of inspections, tests, and any modifications or deviations from the original design.

5. Communication and Reporting

Liaison Role: Act as a liaison between the owner, EPC contractor, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication.

Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports on the status of architectural works, including progress updates, issues identified, and solutions implemented.

Meetings: Participate in project meetings, including coordination meetings, progress meetings, and safety meetings.

6. Regulatory Compliance and Permitting

Permitting Assistance: Support the acquisition of necessary permits and ensure all architectural works comply with local and national building codes and regulations.

Environmental Compliance: Ensure that the architectural aspects of the project meet environmental regulations and sustainability standards.

7. Safety and Risk Management

Safety Compliance: Ensure all architectural construction activities adhere to safety protocols and standards, promoting a safe work environment.

Risk Identification and Mitigation: Identify potential risks associated with architectural works and implement measures to mitigate them

8. Commissioning and Handover

Final Inspections: Participate in final inspections and walkthroughs to ensure that all architectural work is completed to the required standards.

Handover Documentation: Prepare and review handover documentation for architectural components, including as-built drawings and operation manuals.


Skills & Qualifications

Educational Background: Degree in Architecture or related field.

Experience: Extensive experience in architectural design and construction, preferably in industrial - projects like LNG facilities.

Knowledge: Strong knowledge of German building codes, regulations, and standards, as well as international standards (e.g., ISO, EN).

Language: Proficiency in both German and English for effective communication.

Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Project Management, LEED, etc.) may be advantageous.

This role requires a combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure the successful delivery of the project.
