Opportunity for Legal Entity Controller at Goldman Sachs

As a Legal Entity Controller at Goldman Sachs, you will oversee financial reporting and monitoring for various legal entities. This position demands a comprehensive understanding of the entities' business strategies, products, and technical accounting requirements. We are looking for a proficient professional to contribute to our team in Frankfurt, where you can apply your accounting expertise to deliver high-quality reporting and analysis in a dynamic environment.

Controllers at Goldman Sachs play a crucial role in ensuring that the financial control and reporting obligations of a global financial institution are fulfilled. Legal Entity Controllers maintain the integrity of financial information, support consolidation efforts, and provide regulatory assistance, directly contributing to the firm's success. Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate annual financial statements and statutory audits
  • Lead technical accounting areas, particularly German GAAP
  • Liaise with regulators on accounting matters
  • Review management accounts under US GAAP, IFRS, and German GAAP
  • Facilitate quarterly consolidated reporting
  • Review board reports and Federal Reserve Board reporting
  • Collaborate with tax teams on local and foreign tax issues
  • Stay informed on business developments
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements
  • Contribute to department-wide projects

Qualifications and Skills
  • Qualified accountant with extensive experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in financial services
  • Degree in finance or business administration
  • Proficiency in German and English
