Business Operations Intern (m/f/d) – part-time 50 %

Organization Overview

The Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF) is a not-for-profit entity established to facilitate the implementation and utilization of the Legal Entity Identifier (LEI). GLEIF oversees a network of partners, including LEI issuing organizations, to deliver reliable services and accessible data for unique legal entity identification on a global scale. Our services ensure the operational integrity of the Global LEI System, promoting the LEI as a public good available to all.

Position Overview

The Business Operations Intern will play a crucial role in supporting the communications and analytical tasks necessary for establishing, maintaining, and assessing relationships with GLEIF's partners, particularly the LEI issuing organizations (LOUs). The intern will assist the LOU management team by engaging in various processes, compiling and distributing documentation, coordinating meetings and conferences, managing calendars, and producing reports, spreadsheets, and presentations. We are looking for a business-oriented individual eager to work in an international setting. The intern will report directly to the Team Lead of the Business Relationship Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Team Lead of Business Relationship Management in daily stakeholder engagement.
  • Participate in communications and management of LOU accounts alongside Business Relationship Managers.
  • Conduct document and records management tasks, including the creation and formatting of reports and presentations using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Provide support for customer relationship management systems.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of GLEIF documents and standards through best practice recommendations.
  • Develop decision templates, presentations, analyses, and reports.
  • Organize and prepare for meetings, including taking minutes.
  • Analyze statistical reports related to LEI issuing organizations or specific markets.
  • Offer assistance on various ad-hoc projects.

Qualifications and Skills for Success:

  • Currently enrolled as a student, preferably in finance, economics, or business management.
  • Experience in international or multicultural environments is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including effective cross-functional communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Familiarity with the operational and organizational frameworks of financial institutions or regulatory bodies is a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in a professional context.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), as these are essential tools for daily tasks.
  • Adaptable, energetic, and capable of thriving in a dynamic team environment.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English; proficiency in additional languages is a benefit.
