Senior Financial Controller

Position Overview:
As a key player in Emerson's Professional Tools division, the Senior Financial Controller will collaborate closely with Plant Management and the local Finance Leader to enhance financial outcomes and operational productivity. This role is crucial for ensuring precise financial reporting, thorough analysis, and strategic decision-making support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct monthly and annual financial planning and analysis, including budget reviews and manufacturing spend assessments.
  • Reconcile monthly financial outcomes with planned figures, elucidating significant variances in working capital and profitability.
  • Prepare monthly performance reports and variance analyses, offering actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Partner with plant management to maintain cost efficiency through relevant analyses and reporting tools.
  • Monitor productivity and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Engage in the decision-making process by delivering detailed analyses and strategic recommendations to management.
  • Develop and sustain performance dashboards while tracking essential supply chain KPIs.
  • Support accounting and controlling functions during monthly closing processes.
  • Facilitate periodic operational reviews with Operations, Finance, and Management teams.
  • Participate in special projects focused on continuous process enhancements.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will exhibit a balance of strategic planning and execution, providing timely and relevant information across the organization. They will leverage financial analysis to explore and act on strategic opportunities while demonstrating a commitment to process improvement.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a similar financial role, preferably within a manufacturing context.
  • Proven experience in preparing financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts to senior management.
  • Proficiency in both German and English.
