Job Opportunity
You will work as an Associate Electrical Engineer for the Electrical System & Project Engineering Region 1 Team, part of the RWE Renewables' Offshore Wind Engineering Department. Your Key Responsibilities:
- Support the electrical engineering tasks on our Offshore Substations, ensuring a robust through-life design and technical management of electrical components and systems.
- Develop, draft, and manage specifications for tenders, and lead technical negotiations with suppliers.
- Focus on interface topics and auxiliary systems, coordinating support from other experts and Electrical Engineers within the department.
- Lead supplier pre-qualifications and audits, and manage electrical works on project construction sites.
- Conduct or lead internal and external research projects, driving innovation and improvement in electrical systems.
Your Profile:
- Practical knowledge and experience are essential for this role. A background in electrical engineering, with experience as a technician or electrician, would be highly desirable.
- A degree in electrical power engineering, with a focus on electrical plant, switchgear, power transformers, and protection, is required.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team, are essential.
