At Angsa Robotics, we are transforming urban waste management through our cutting-edge autonomous trash collection robots. Our goal is to foster cleaner and more efficient cities by implementing advanced robotic solutions. We are currently in search of a skilled Robotics Deployment Engineer to join our dynamic team and take charge of the testing, troubleshooting, quality assurance, and deployment engineering for our autonomous trash collection systems as we broaden our reach to new urban areas.

This position requires a valid driver's license or a commitment to obtain one for occasional client interactions and testing deployments, although the majority of the work will be conducted at our office and workshop.

Key Responsibilities

As a Robotics Deployment Engineer, you will act as the vital connection between our development and operational teams, possessing expertise in both the robotic technology and the daily functions at client locations. Your role will be to ensure that new components operate seamlessly on the robots and that the robots deliver optimal performance on-site.

During peak season (spring/summer), your focus will include:

  • Overseeing the setup, configuration, and commissioning of robots
  • Technical oversight of our fleet management dashboard utilized by our First Responder Team to monitor robot operations
  • Creating tools for error detection, diagnosis, and documentation, along with remote troubleshooting capabilities
  • Engaging in hands-on debugging, troubleshooting, and on-site evaluations to ensure robots function as intended

In the off-peak season (fall/winter), your focus will shift to:

  • Taking charge of the release and quality assurance processes (both technical and organizational). This includes determining how new versions are tested, the timing of testing, and the process for addressing identified issues
  • Developing test benches for continuous integration testing in indoor environments
  • Conducting development and evaluation projects, such as data-driven comparisons of new GNSS modules
  • Coordinating student assistants for ongoing robot testing
Qualifications
  • A degree in computer science or a related field
  • Experience in a comparable role, preferably within mobile robotics
  • A solid understanding of robotics, including sensors, actuators, and networking
  • Proficiency in Python, Git, and robotics frameworks such as ROS2
  • A strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication abilities to collaborate with both technical and non-technical team members
  • A driver's license (or willingness to obtain one) and openness to occasional client visits
