As we expand, we are in search of a skilled and experienced Metals Procurement Manager to enhance our procurement team.
Role Overview: The Metals Procurement Manager will oversee the acquisition of essential metal commodities, including copper, aluminum, and bronze. This position requires a robust background in automotive procurement, exceptional negotiation capabilities, and a thorough understanding of the metals market. Proficiency in German at the C1 level is crucial for effective communication with suppliers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute commodity strategies for metals, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Manage the sourcing and procurement processes for copper, aluminum, and bronze, emphasizing cost-effectiveness and quality control.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating advantageous terms and contracts.
- Work closely with internal departments, including engineering and production, to synchronize procurement activities with technical specifications and production timelines.
- Conduct comprehensive market analyses to monitor metal price trends, market conditions, and supply chain vulnerabilities.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and internal procurement protocols.
- Provide reports on commodity management activities, including cost savings, supplier performance, and market insights.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in German (C1 level) is required.
- Extensive experience in procurement or commodity management within the automotive industry, particularly with metals such as copper, aluminum, and bronze.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical abilities and the capacity to evaluate market trends and risks.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with procurement software and tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
