Job Overview
Serco, a leading Space Services Provider, is seeking a proactive Software PA Support Engineer to join our team at the prestigious ESA-ESOC site in Germany. This exciting role offers a unique opportunity to work with one of the world's leading space agencies.
Main Responsibilities
- Contribute to the establishment of programmatic and technical software PA requirements within the framework of the ESA Software policy.
- Evaluate contractors' plans, technical specifications, and efforts proposed for the execution of S/W PA programs.
- Monitor and evaluate S/W PA analyses, reports, and technical notes.
- Participate in project reviews, meetings, Configuration Control Boards, Non-conformance Review Boards, and Software Review Boards.
- Prepare design trade-offs, analyses, and reports using metrics to support project decisions.
- Participate in software product evaluations and process assessments.
- Establish and maintain databases to track NCRs, RFWs, action items, etc., as required.
Requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent in IT Systems or (Network) Engineering.
- 4 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in the management, operation, and maintenance of critical data center IT systems and understanding the full range of M&E equipment in a modern critical data center environment.
- ITIL Service Lifecycle Foundation, CNET Data Centre Certification would be an asset.
- Comfortable with working in a diverse and multinational team environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills are needed, together with a high degree of organizational and communication abilities.
- Proficient in the English language, both written and spoken.
- Knowledge of another EU member state language is an asset.
