About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Platform Infrastructure Director to lead our team of system administrators in building, maintaining, and ensuring high availability of our data center, cloud infrastructure, and tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of system administrators, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of infrastructure projects.
  • Resource Management: Effectively manage team resources, including project prioritization and on-call coverage, to ensure optimal utilization and minimize downtime.
  • Infrastructure Strategy: Support the business and product strategies by leading and driving innovation in hosting and orchestration of products, identifying opportunities to improve infrastructure performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
  • Technology Adoption: Lead the adoption of new technologies that can improve infrastructure performance, security, and cost-efficiency, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Culture of Innovation: Encourage and drive innovation within the infrastructure team, fostering a culture of experimentation and improvement to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Project Delivery: Own the planning, prioritization, communication, and delivery of infrastructure projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.
  • Budget Management: Identify, plan, and forecast budget required for development and upgrades to the infrastructure to support growth, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate effectively with all internal stakeholders and external support services, managing third-party vendor relationships to ensure seamless delivery of infrastructure services.
  • Infrastructure Maintenance: Ensure systems, tools, hardware, and support are maintained, replaced, or upgraded when appropriate, minimizing downtime and ensuring high availability.
  • Hosting Projects: Oversee infrastructure hosting projects, including the migration of on-premise applications to public cloud in collaboration with external IT support teams, DevOps engineers, architects, cyber experts, and developers.
  • Compliance and Security: Ensure that infrastructure meets regulatory compliance standards and is aligned with industry best practices for security and data privacy.
  • Performance Reporting: Report regularly on performance KPIs to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Disaster Recovery: Maintain disaster recovery plans and ensure regular testing and updates to these plans to ensure business continuity.
  • Customer Support: Support the team in monitoring and reacting to customer topics and incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
