Position Overview: We are offering a full-time role (40 hours/week) in the Department of "Optical and Rocket Soundings" as a Postdoctoral Researcher for the EULIAA Initiative (f/m/d). In this position, you will engage in pioneering research within the realm of experimental atmospheric physics, concentrating on optical remote sensing techniques that extend to the upper atmosphere, including the stratosphere, mesosphere, and lower thermosphere.
Project Details: The EULIAA project involves the development of innovative instruments and measurement methodologies in close partnership with local industry stakeholders. Our work is centered around compact lidar systems known as VAHCOLI (Vertical And Horizontal Coverage by Lidar).
Software Development: A vital aspect of this role includes software development for lidar control and data analysis, complementing the hardware advancements.
Qualifications: Candidates should possess a PhD in physics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, environmental sciences, or a related field. Proficiency in programming languages such as Julia, Delphi, or C/C++ is essential.
