For a permanent position, OHB System AG is seeking a

Network and Digital Communication Systems Engineer (m/f/d)

Key Responsibilities

Develop terrestrial and extraterrestrial network frameworks, including user terminals Calculate and define link budgets within digital communication systems Conduct simulations for traffic modeling Establish interface specifications for space, ground, and user segments Assist in the overall payload design for telecommunications satellites Contribute to the exploration of emerging satellite communication technologies Collaborate with industrial and institutional partners, as well as clients Serve as the liaison for workgroups and associations focused on digital communication standards (ranging from DVB-S to 6G) Engage in proposal preparation activities

Required Qualifications

Degree in communication engineering, network engineering, or electrical engineering with a specialization in telecommunications Proficiency in network management Experience in network modeling and traffic routing Familiarity with 5G/6G standards, particularly 3GPP, is advantageous Understanding of space communication standards (DVB-S/S2/RCS) is a plus Strong organizational, prioritization, and communication skills Proficient in English
