Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Network and Digital Communication Systems Specialist to join our team in Oberpfaffenhofen. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Defining terrestrial and space network architectures, including user terminals
  • Calculating link budgets in digital communication systems
  • Performing traffic model simulations
  • Defining interface requirements for space, ground, and user segments
  • Supporting the overall payload design for telecommunication satellites
  • Identifying future satellite communication technologies
  • Interacting with industrial and institutional cooperation partners and customers
  • Representing the company in workgroups and associations for digital communication standards
  • Participating in proposal preparation

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in communication engineering, network engineering, or electrical engineering with a focus on telecommunication
  • Knowledge of network management and experience in modeling and traffic-routing of networks
  • Familiarity with 5G/6G standards and space communication standards (DVB-S/S2/RCS)
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, and communication skills
  • English working-level proficiency
