Role OverviewWe are seeking a seasoned and enthusiastic Director of Product Analytics to address complex challenges from both business and user perspectives. This role will enhance processes and tools while promoting data excellence throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive product analytics strategy that aligns with organizational objectives, ensuring adherence to best practices in data analysis, reporting, and visualization.
- Foster a data-centric culture within the organization, advocating for data utilization in decision-making processes.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data analysts, cultivating a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Provide professional development opportunities for team members to advance their skills and careers.
- Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of product and user data to derive actionable insights.
- Collaborate with product management to establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to product performance and user engagement.
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure data insights are effectively integrated into product strategy and development.
- Work alongside the data engineering team to guarantee the availability and integrity of data essential for analytics.
- Supervise the implementation and utilization of analytics tools, ensuring they fulfill organizational needs.
- Streamline processes for data requests and insights delivery to enhance efficiency.
- Oversee the design and analysis of A/B tests and other experiments, ensuring rigorous statistical evaluation of results.
- Collaborate with User Experience Research to merge insights from qualitative and quantitative research, providing a comprehensive understanding of user behaviors.
- Establish benchmarks for product performance in comparison to industry standards and competitors.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Computer Science).
- Proven experience in a senior analytics role, ideally within a B2C or marketplace environment.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing analytics teams, with a strong track record of developing high-performing teams.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python).
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Metabase).
- Solid understanding of data infrastructure, governance, and engineering concepts.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex data insights to non-technical audiences.
- In-depth knowledge of B2C marketplace dynamics, user behaviors, and product lifecycles.
- Ability to align analytics initiatives with business goals and priorities.
