About the Role

As an Operations Manager at Amazon Logistik Westfalenhuette GmbH, you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence across our sites. You will lead a team of Area Managers and create operational plans to meet business objectives. Your focus will be on driving safety, quality, and productivity, while also analyzing performance metrics and implementing actions to improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop a team of Area Managers to achieve business objectives
  • Lead operational teams on a shift, addressing issues and positively impacting site performance
  • Analyze shift performance against business objectives and implement actions to improve operational excellence
  • Collaborate with support teams, including HR, Finance, Health and Safety, and Security
  • Design and deliver initiatives to improve operational performance across sites
A Day in the Life

You will lead shifts at one of our operational sites, serving as a key link between various teams, including finance, safety, and operations integration teams. Your day will involve meetings with different business areas, deep dives into performance and risk metrics, and preparation for varying levels of demand. You will also mentor and coach your team, providing leadership and support to help them become the best managers they can be.

About the Team

Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) is responsible for managing heavy items, such as furniture and large home appliances. Our team oversees the entire service, from supply chain fulfillment to delivery and returns. We prioritize customer care, delivering large items, unpacking, assembling, and installing them, and taking away old items when necessary. With a focus on safety, productivity, and innovation, we are transforming the way customers buy and receive large goods.

Requirements
  • A degree in a relevant field
  • Relevant experience in people and stakeholder management
  • Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and intermediate proficiency in the local language
  • Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions
  • Relevant experience in key areas of production and supply chains
