We are seeking an experienced Audit and Compliance Specialist to join our team at Raisin GmbH. As a key member of our Internal Audit function, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness of our risk management, control, and governance processes.
Key Responsibilities- Audit Execution: Conduct thorough audits as per our annual audit plan, with a focus on AML and other regulations combating financial crime and relevant standards and frameworks.
- Compliance and Risk Assessment: Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of controls, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Reporting and Recommendations: Prepare detailed reports on audit findings, recommend improvements, and monitor the implementation of audit recommendations.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with various internal stakeholders, including risk management, and compliance teams, to ensure alignment on governance and compliance issues.
- Audit Project Management: Manage and coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely and thorough execution of audit plans.
- Management reporting: Prepare quarterly and annual reporting to Senior Management and presentations for relevant Committees.
- Deputy the Head of Internal Audit.
- Educational Background: Degree in Business Administration, Law, and Economics or related fields. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CMAS, CIA or similar) are highly appreciated.
- Professional Experience: A minimum of 8 years experience in auditing, governance, risk, and compliance, ideally within the international financial services industry, including working experience within the Fintech industry is desired. Knowledge in outsourcing/ service provider management/ audit is very welcome.
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of BaFin specific regulation e.g. MaRisk as well as EBA guidelines with focus on anti financial crime is highly desired.
- Interpersonal skills: Strong communication abilities with experience in stakeholder management and the capacity to mediate between different interests effectively.
- Language skills: Good English language skills. German and other European languages are a plus.
