IT Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Universität Siegen. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our system infrastructure, ensuring the highest level of security and data protection.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and Development: Conceptualize and develop system infrastructure for our email and application delivery services, ensuring high availability and scalability.
- System Administration: Manage and maintain our system infrastructure, including Windows-based server systems and Active Directory.
- Security and Data Protection: Implement and maintain robust security measures, including firewalls, access controls, and anti-malware services, to protect our systems and data.
- Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement a comprehensive backup and recovery strategy to ensure business continuity in the event of a disaster.
- Documentation and Analysis: Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and resources, and analyze system performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with our IT team and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, system administration, and security.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of Windows-based server systems, Active Directory, and security protocols. Proficiency in scripting languages, such as PowerShell or Bash.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
