Job Title: Software Engineer for Uncertainty Quantification in Materials Modeling

Signaloid is a leading computing platform that quantifies, transmits, and tracks data uncertainty dynamically and throughout computations in unmodified computing workloads. Our team consists of experienced engineers with combined research, engineering, and leadership experience from top institutions.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to lead the implementation of applications for Uncertainty Quantification in Materials Modeling. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying appropriate algorithms, creating their implementation in C or C++, and designing a testing and validation strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation of applications for Uncertainty Quantification in Materials Modeling
  • Identify and implement algorithms for solving problems in Materials Modeling
  • Design and implement a testing and validation strategy for the applications
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to achieve project goals
Requirements
  • Masters degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a related discipline
  • At least three years of experience with C
  • Experience developing applications from a fundamental description of an algorithm
  • Experience analyzing computational complexity and improving performance
  • In-depth understanding of version control tools, including Git
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Good working understanding of digital arithmetic and numerical methods
  • Good working understanding of GitHub's project management tools
  • Previous experience with continuous integration
