Position Overview

As a Requirements Engineer specializing in Battery Management Systems (BMS), you will play a crucial role in the development and management of requirements for advanced electric powertrain systems. Your expertise will contribute to the overall functionality and efficiency of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Development and Implementation: Lead the creation and management of requirements and change processes for BMS.
  • Functional Architecture Definition: Establish the functional architecture necessary for optimal system performance.
  • Creation of Functional Descriptions: Develop detailed functional descriptions and interfaces for electric powertrain components.
  • Specification Concept Development: Formulate specifications at both system and subsystem levels, focusing on powertrain, battery, and motor integration.
  • Model-Based Requirements Mapping: Engage in the development, evaluation, and mapping of model-based requirements tailored to vehicle platforms.
  • Modeling and Simulation: Conduct modeling and simulation activities for electric powertrain systems to ensure robust performance.
  • Coordination Meetings: Organize and facilitate meetings to ensure alignment among stakeholders.
  • Requirements Tracking: Monitor and manage requirements and change requests effectively.
  • Agile Work Structure Implementation: Apply agile methodologies, such as Scrum, to enhance project efficiency.
  • Use Case Evaluation: Analyze and evaluate use cases at the system and vehicle levels.
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure adherence to system requirements, component specifications, and testing protocols.
  • Research Project Development: Contribute to the development of new system technologies through research initiatives.
  • Efficiency Enhancement: Adjust electrical component requirements to improve overall system efficiency.
  • Supplier Coordination: Oversee and coordinate activities with suppliers to ensure project success.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in battery management systems within industry or academic projects.
  • Strong practical experience in requirements, change, and release management using tools like Codebeamer or IBM DOORS.
  • Proficient in MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Experience in model-based software development.
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or similar project management tools.
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  • Understanding of vehicle electronics and software architecture.
  • Familiarity with Modelica, Dymola, Simscape, C++, CANoe, CANalyzer is advantageous.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
