Key Responsibilities
- Research and Development
- Conduct in-depth research on relevant customs, trade, and tax laws, including customs, preference, foreign trade, value-added tax, and energy tax regulations.
- Develop and implement legal requirements and tasks actively.
- Customs Clearance
- Perform import and export customs clearance in accordance with all applicable customs procedures.
- Financial Management
- Prepare and process necessary financial statements and invoices, including customs duties and taxes.
- Communication
- Serve as a point of contact for authorities and customers regarding customs-related inquiries.
- Project Support
- Collaborate on projects and process improvements both internally and with external customers.
Requirements
- Education
- Completed commercial training, such as a shipping clerk or industrial clerk.
- Further Education
- Financial or transportation management certification or expertise in customs and international trade is beneficial.
- Expertise
- In-depth knowledge of customs clearance procedures under national and EU law.
- Specialized Procedures
- Familiarity with specialized customs procedures and related reporting procedures, such as Intrastat and Extrastat.
- IT Skills
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Language Skills
- Fluent German and English skills in writing and speaking.
- Soft Skills
- Strong communication skills, teamwork, and intercultural competence.
- Work Style
- Self-motivated and responsible.
