About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Frontend Developer to join our innovative team at Amazon Web Services Development Center Germany GmbH. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of web experiences using the latest Amazon AI services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of responsive and accessible user interfaces using modern frontend frameworks and libraries.
  • Establish and maintain a robust frontend architecture, adhering to best practices and design systems.
  • Ensure optimal performance by implementing efficient rendering techniques, code splitting, and other performance optimization strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, backend engineers, and product teams to create cohesive and delightful user experiences.
  • Share knowledge across the organization through tech talks and mentoring other frontend developers.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience with common frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node.
  • Experience using JavaScript frameworks and the latest Web Standards.
  • Experience in computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis).

Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Experience with WASM, WebGPU.
  • Experience building reusable UX components or libraries.
  • Master's degree in computer science or equivalent.
