About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Business Process Management to join our team at Rhenus Logistics. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in optimizing business processes across the company, enhancing productivity, reducing production costs, and improving overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze, design, optimize, and implement business processes to increase operational productivity and reduce production costs year-on-year
  • Collaborate and mediate with operators, supervisors, senior leaders, managing directors, and other stakeholders to identify and implement innovative process improvements
  • Utilize experience in air and ocean freight operations to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency
  • Employ data analysis to identify trends, measure process performance, and drive continuous improvement
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure processes meet business objectives and performance standards
  • Lead change management initiatives to ensure the smooth implementation of new processes and systems
  • Translate ideas into actionable plans and execute projects effectively, ensuring timely and successful implementation
  • Manage interfaces between different systems and processes to ensure seamless operations
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of process improvement professionals to achieve departmental goals
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to promote process improvement initiatives and secure buy-in from stakeholders
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, logistics, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in operations, business process management, process engineering, or a similar role within the logistics industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven experience in productivity and optimization of processes
  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities
  • Proficiency in data analysis and process mapping tools (e.g., Excel, Visio)
  • Strong understanding of air and ocean freight operations
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent convincing and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of management consulting practices (preferred)
