Neural Network Oscillation Researcher

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented student to join our research team at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. This project involves exploring network synchronization in a genetic mouse model of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in collaboration with the Presynaptic Plasticity Lab and the Institute of Physiology and Pathophysiology.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze local field potential signals and neural network synchronization.
- Perform data processing and signal analysis to identify patterns of network oscillations.
- Work closely with our research team to discuss findings and plan further studies.
- Present results and contribute to the ongoing evaluation of the project.
Applicants should have a background in engineering, computer science, or physics, and proficiency in programming with MATLAB. Attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential.
Preferred QualificationsExperience with data analysis and signal processing is a plus.
Supervision and RegistrationYou will be registered with the Presynaptic Plasticity Lab and work under the joined supervision of Prof. Alexey Ponomarenko and Prof. Anna Fejtova, in a close interaction with the scientists involved in the project.
