Your Role: Senior Database Engineer

As a Senior Database Engineer, you will be a vital member of our project teams, serving as the primary point of contact for database design and acting as a liaison between development, vendor management, and operations departments.

  • You will be responsible for the setup, operation, and monitoring of PostgreSQL and Oracle databases in both cloud and on-premise environments.
  • Implement and maintain high-availability database systems (e.g., clusters, DataGuard) to ensure seamless operations.
  • Oversee all database deployments and conduct thorough code reviews to maintain the highest standards of quality.
  • Optimize SQL queries for PostgreSQL and Oracle databases to enhance performance and efficiency.
  • Handle incidents, changes, and problems according to ITIL best practices.
  • Continuously evaluate new technologies in the database field and integrate them into our company infrastructure as needed.
Your Profile:

  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing PostgreSQL and Oracle databases.
  • Strong understanding of database concepts, including normalization, indexing, and query optimization.
  • Experience with high-availability solutions and disaster recovery planning.
  • Familiarity with DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
