We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System/Database Engineer to join our team at Lanes & Planes. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our Linux and PostgreSQL systems.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the administration and management of our Linux systems, with a focus on Ubuntu Server.
- Maintain and support our PostgreSQL databases to ensure smooth operation.
- Configure and operate HAProxy systems for optimal distribution and availability.
- Monitor system performance and optimize using Grafana and Prometheus.
- Administer and optimize in-memory databases (Redis) for efficiency.
- Develop innovative automation solutions using Ansible.
- Excellent knowledge of load balancers (HAProxy) and monitoring tools.
- Experience in configuring and administering Redis and PostgreSQL.
- Confident handling of automation tools such as Ansible.
- Strong analytical thinking and solution-oriented work.
- Previous experience with Rails, Ruby, Puma, or Sidekiq is a plus.
