Your Role

We are in search of a highly proficient and seasoned Lead Simulation Engineer, who possesses a blend of software development expertise, domain knowledge, and a robust grasp of simulation methodologies. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in crafting, developing, and executing mathematical models and simulation software that accurately depict and enhance the functionality and efficiency of our satellite network. Your proficiency in optimization strategies will be essential in driving enhancements and addressing complex engineering challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Software Development: Design, implement, and sustain simulation software applications. This includes coding, algorithm design, and ensuring compliance with performance standards.
  • Modeling and Simulation: Collaborate with domain specialists to comprehend the systems or processes requiring simulation; develop mathematical models and algorithms to accurately reflect system behavior.
  • Optimization: Enhance simulation software for optimal performance, ensuring it can efficiently manage large-scale simulations; apply optimization strategies to refine system performance.
  • Data Analysis: Examine data produced from simulations to derive valuable insights, identify patterns, and provide informed recommendations for system enhancements; assist in the implementation of advanced analytical decision support tools.
  • Collaboration: Engage closely with various teams to gather requirements and ensure the successful integration of simulation solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Remain informed about advancements in simulation methodologies, software development practices, and industry standards; implement necessary updates and enhancements to simulation software.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of models, simulations, and optimization processes for future reference.
  • Leadership: Mentor and support junior team members.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, particularly in simulation applications.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, Java, etc.
  • Strong understanding of mathematical modeling, simulation techniques, and algorithms.
  • Experience in user interface design for simulation software applications.
  • Familiarity with data integration and optimization methodologies.
  • Knowledge of software development frameworks, such as Agile or Scrum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
