Your Responsibilities
  • Define MGSE (Mechanical Ground Support Equipment) including the following tasks:
  • Work on Assembly, Integration, and Test (AIT) tasks within space projects (satellites, payloads, subsystems):
  • Coordinate mechanical AIT work on the satellite in consultation with the AIT Manager and other involved disciplines:
  • Prepare and perform mechanical integrations of flight hardware on the satellite, as well as document the work results:
  • Develop concepts for mechanical AIT and MGSE and create corresponding planning documents:
  • Implement external and internal requirements for mechanical AIT, MGSE, and thermal hardware:
  • Manage subcontractors for MGSE, thermal hardware, and test equipment:
  • Develop integration and test procedures, reports, etc., including evaluation of test results:
  • Procure MGSE for satellite projects with:
  • Develop required specifications, manage the tender process (bid evaluation), and manage subcontractors until delivery and acceptance:
  • Coordinate and participate in the internal development of MGSE in accordance with the PRC process, with final implementation of the proof load test for CE certification:
  • Specify and accept thermal hardware and test equipment:
  • Update generic MGSE and thermal hardware specifications in line with project requirements:
  • Participate in test and launch campaigns (the job requires willingness to spend several months abroad):
  • Participate in NRBs (Non-Conformance Review Boards) to search for and find solutions to errors:
  • Collaborate with other Airbus locations and European subcontractors:
Your Profile
  • Completed studies in aerospace, mechanical engineering, or a comparable field:
  • Experience with Windchill and CAD software (CATIA) is desirable:
  • Experience with SAP applications:
  • Experience with time planning tools (e.g., MS Project):
  • Technical understanding of mechanisms and system components of satellites and space probes:
  • Proficient handling of and experience in high-quality mechanical integration, preferably of spaceflight components:
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and integration standards in the aerospace industry:
  • Insight into the function and application of electrical components:
  • Desirable experience in the field of measurement technology (mechanical/electrical):
  • Very good German and English skills:
