About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical AIT Engineer to join our team at HE Space. As a key member of our AIT team, you will be responsible for the definition and implementation of Mechanical Ground Support Equipment (MGSE) for our satellite projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and develop MGSE requirements and specifications for satellite projects.
- Coordinate and lead the mechanical AIT work on satellite projects, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Prepare and implement mechanical integrations of flight hardware on satellites, including documentation of work results.
- Develop and maintain MGSE and thermal hardware specifications, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
- Participate in test and launch campaigns, including travel to project sites as required.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including AIT managers, engineers, and subcontractors, to ensure successful project delivery.
- Contribute to the development of integration and test procedures, reports, and other documentation.
- Support the procurement of MGSE and thermal hardware for satellite projects.
- Participate in Non-Conformance Review Boards (NRBs) to identify and resolve errors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience with CAD software (CATIA) and scheduling tools (MS Project).
- Technical understanding of mechanisms and system elements of satellites and space probes.
- Experience in high-quality mechanical integration, preferably from space components.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and integration standards in the aerospace industry.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of German is an advantage.
