Role Overview:

We are in search of a UI/UX Design Program Manager to join our talented and diverse AVATR Design Team. We firmly believe in the transformative power of design as a catalyst for ongoing innovation and boundary-pushing. Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively plan, oversee, and guide dedicated design initiatives
  • Ensure projects adhere to budgetary and timeline constraints while maintaining the highest quality standards
  • Facilitate organization-wide alignments through essential communication channels and reporting
  • Supervise and track global design activities to guarantee timely delivery of high-quality assets
  • Analyze and mediate conflicts in a multicultural setting, eliminating obstacles and acting as a catalyst for Design Leadership
  • Collaborate with external partners
  • Assist in departmental development concerning processes, methodologies, and tools in partnership with the department manager
  • Support long-term resource and budget planning with the department manager
  • Manage escalation of issues to higher levels
  • Perform additional duties as required
  • Willingness to travel as necessary

Qualifications:

  • University degree or equivalent in Automotive/Industrial Design, Engineering, or Project Management
  • Fluency in English and Chinese
  • 5+ years of experience in a global automotive context, preferably with an OEM
  • Essential experience as a UX (User Experience) Project Manager
  • Strong planning, management, and oversight skills with a focus on detail and accuracy
  • Preferably IPMA / PMI or similar Certification
  • Excellent understanding of the automotive design landscape and its challenges
  • Familiarity with automotive design development processes
  • In-depth knowledge of requirements and deliverables for each design development phase
  • Strong understanding of engineering criteria and requirements
  • Proven organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Reliability and capability to work independently
  • Ability to manage and complete projects from inception to conclusion
  • Strong verbal and visual communication skills
  • Proactive and self-motivated, capable of functioning as part of a team in a fast-paced international environment
  • Ability to deliver under tight deadlines
  • Strong sense of accountability
