Job Description

At Universal Quantum, we are pushing the boundaries of innovation. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electronics Engineer to join our electronics team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge quantum technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop complex electronics systems, including hardware and software components, to support the development of quantum computers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software engineers, and physicists, to ensure seamless integration of electronics systems.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of electronics circuits and verification tests, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in electronics engineering and apply this knowledge to improve our quantum technologies.
  • Contribute to the planning and scheduling of projects, ensuring timely delivery and effective resource allocation.
  • Engage in risk management and scheduling activities to ensure the successful execution of projects.
Requirements
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in high-performance electronics design, including digital, analog, and embedded systems.
  • Proven expertise in PCB design using ECAD tools, such as Altium or similar.
  • Experience with spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and VNA.
  • Strong understanding of digital system integration using HDL and high-level programming languages.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficient in German and English language.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in RF engineering, research, metrology, and instrumentation.
  • Understanding of signal integrity, high-speed digital, and EMC.
  • Experience with C and/or scripting languages, such as Python and Matlab.
  • Experience with Labview.
  • Pragmatic approach to decision-making and design choices.
