Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Design Engineer to join our team at Universal Quantum. As a key member of our electronics team, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex electronics systems for our quantum computers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electronics systems, including hardware and software components, to meet the requirements of our quantum computers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software engineers, and physicists, to ensure seamless integration of electronics systems.
- Develop and maintain documentation of electronics systems, including circuit diagrams, schematics, and test procedures.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of electronics systems to ensure they meet performance and quality standards.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in electronics design and technology, and apply this knowledge to improve our systems.
Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of experience in high-performance electronics design, including digital, analog, and embedded systems.
- Excellent knowledge of electronics circuit theory, including noise analysis and physical device knowledge.
- Proficient in PCB design using ECAD tools, such as Altium or similar.
- Experience with spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and VNA.
- Experience in FPGAs and embedded software engineering for real-time systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- At least 2.1 BEng/BSc degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proficient in German and English language.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in RF engineering, research, metrology, and instrumentation.
- Understanding of signal integrity, high-speed digital, and EMC.
- Experience with C and/or scripting languages, such as Python and Matlab.
- Experience with Labview.
- Pragmatic approach to decision-making and design choices.
- Team and/or project management experience.
