Master/Bachelor Thesis: Process Mining Demonstration System
We are seeking a highly motivated student to contribute to a groundbreaking project exploring the potential of Process Mining within SEEBURGER's Business Integration Suite. This thesis will provide valuable insights into how Process Mining can enhance our existing solutions and unlock new opportunities for business optimization.
Objectives:- Evaluate the feasibility of integrating Process Mining into SEEBURGER's offerings.
- Demonstrate the benefits of Process Mining for various business integration use cases.
- Assess the maturity level of available Process Mining tools and methodologies.
- Lay the groundwork for a future implementation of Process Mining within our monitoring system.
The successful candidate will undertake both theoretical and practical tasks:
Theoretical Part:- Explore the fundamental principles and functionalities of Process Mining systems.
- Conduct a comprehensive market analysis of open-source and commercial Process Mining solutions.
- Identify relevant use cases for Process Mining within the realm of Business Integration.
- Select appropriate analysis and visualization methods for effective insights.
- Analyze SEEBURGER's Business Integration Suite to determine necessary extensions for data generation, analysis, and visualization.
- Develop a prototype based on the pm4py framework from the Frauenhofer Institute.
- Generate representative event logs for testing and demonstration purposes.
- Implement selected Process Mining analysis methods within the prototype.
- Design and integrate visualization components to effectively communicate insights.
- Showcase the capabilities of the prototype through compelling use case demonstrations.
- Proficiency in Python programming language.
- Familiarity with Java development.
- Knowledge of Petri Nets concepts.
- Experience with Process Mining algorithms.
- Understanding of statistical methods for data analysis.
