Position Overview
State Street Bank International GmbH is seeking an IT Audit Supervisor, Assistant Vice President, to oversee and execute audits related to IT governance, systems infrastructure, information security, application controls, and operational monitoring activities. This position will ensure adherence to the division's risk-based audit framework while focusing on global IT audit engagements that consider both legal entity aspects and local regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with an international team and engage with global stakeholders in dynamic situations where solutions may not be immediately evident.
- Lead the planning, evaluation, testing, and reporting phases of audits encompassing IT governance, systems infrastructure, information security, application controls, and operational activities.
- Conduct independent and objective evaluations of risks and controls to enhance risk management practices.
- Assess systems and associated controls for compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and corporate policies while addressing business requirements.
- Propose control enhancements to mitigate significant risks.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of ECB and BaFin regulatory requirements, including the Supervisory Requirements for IT in Financial Institutions (BAIT) and EBA Guidelines on Outsourcing.
- Influence organizational change and provide insights on business initiatives, including system implementations.
- Prepare and review audit documentation to ensure compliance with the division's risk-based audit methodology.
- Mentor, coach, and develop team members, fostering technology audit skills across the Corporate Audit division.
- Utilize strong writing skills to clearly communicate complex technical issues in business language.
- Compile audit reports and present key findings to senior management.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience in leading and supervising project teams, preferably in an audit or assurance role within the financial services sector.
- Proficiency in evaluating and testing internal controls and applying a risk-based audit approach.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively and work independently in a fast-paced international environment.
- A strong desire to learn new technologies and processes.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, organizational, research, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
- A solid understanding of the roles of the first, second, and third lines of defense.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Education & Preferred Qualifications
- A university degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related field; an advanced degree in Information Technology, Cyber Security, or Systems Engineering is preferred.
- Current possession of one or more industry-recognized certifications (e.g., CISA, CRISC, CISM, CISSP, Cloud+, etc.) and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Over 5 years of experience auditing technology-related areas such as IT resilience, data replication, disaster recovery, identity and access management, and security incident management.
Additional Information
- Willingness to travel up to 20% annually.
- Knowledge of the German language is a plus.
