Job Summary:

The Sales Director for Laser Welding and Brazing at Maxphotonics GmbH will focus on direct sales activities, including identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, maintaining and expanding relationships with existing customers, and providing technical expertise on our laser welding and brazing solutions. This role is ideal for someone with a strong sales background, technical knowledge of laser welding and brazing, and a passion for working closely with clients to meet their needs. The successful candidate will be key in driving sales growth and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Direct Sales and Business Development:

  • Identify potential customers and develop a deep understanding of their needs in industries such as automotive, aerospace, home appliance, medical devices, and electronics.
  • Actively pursue new business opportunities through lead generation, cold calling, and networking.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business and customer loyalty.
  • Present and demonstrate the benefits and capabilities of our laser welding and brazing solutions to potential customers.

Technical Sales Support:

  • Provide expert technical advice and guidance to customers throughout the sales process, from initial inquiry to post-sale support.
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable laser welding and brazing solutions tailored to their specific needs.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and trials to showcase the performance and advantages of our laser welding and brazing systems.
  • Assist customers with technical questions and troubleshoot issues as needed.

Sales Operations:

  • Prepare and submit quotes, proposals, and contracts that clearly outline the technical specifications and commercial terms of our solutions.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with customers to close deals effectively.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to ensure that customer requirements are accurately captured and met.
  • Manage the sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-up on leads and maintaining accurate records in the CRM system.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Maintain regular contact with customers to monitor satisfaction and address any concerns.
  • Provide after-sales support to ensure the smooth installation and operation of laser welding and brazing systems.
  • Gather customer feedback and communicate insights to the product development and support teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in laser welding, brazing, or related manufacturing technology.
  • Strong technical knowledge of laser welding and brazing processes, equipment, and applications.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to meet with customers and attend industry events.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the automotive, aerospace, home appliance, medical device, or electronics industries.
  • Familiarity with CAD software, MS-Office and other engineering tools.
  • Understanding of the manufacturing process and quality control standards.
