Who are we?
The Reservation department is the core of Amadeus, encompassing 30 applications that include numerous backends, frontends, and big data solutions.
We are currently migrating all applications to the public cloud, introducing new products on cloud-native platforms, while also maintaining legacy systems. This creates a significant demand for a cohesive team.
We are the RES Engineering Experience team, part of the REvolutionSSAFe Agile Release Train.
Our Mission:
We aim to address the department's cross-functional needs by supporting cloud migration, enhancing engineering experiences, guiding DevOps transformations, and ensuring reliability for the reservation platform.
We manage the CI/CD ecosystem for our division, utilizing Wall-E and Bird workflows, the Forge as the official Azure hosting solution for Amadeus, and the RES Azure landing zones along with OpenShift clusters as part of our delegation model.
Position Summary:
- DevOps Collaboration: Work closely with DevOps and Platform as a Service (PaaS) teams to optimize operations, automate workflows, and ensure effective resource management.
- PaaS Management and Automation: Deploy, configure, and oversee PaaS solutions with a strong focus on automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to facilitate continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Performance Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Track application performance, engage in incident resolution, and assist in troubleshooting to promote a culture of continuous improvement and reliability.
- Cost Optimization and Financial Operations (FinOps): Enhance resource utilization, monitor cloud spending, analyze cost data, and contribute to efficient cloud resource management aligned with DevOps principles.
- Documentation and Security Compliance: Maintain thorough documentation of configurations, processes, and security protocols for PaaS solutions, ensuring compliance and facilitating collaboration across DevOps teams.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in IT operations.
- Basic knowledge of containerization, cloud computing, and PaaS solutions.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a desire to learn.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal.
