About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Back-End Software Engineer to join our team at K15t GmbH. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing features for our next-generation product, including a highly available website delivery platform, real-time content updates, and a powerful theme development framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Implement Features: Develop and maintain high-quality back-end code for dynamic modern web applications, leveraging your expertise in server-side Java, Spring Boot, and virtual threads.
  • Maintain and Evolve Infrastructure: Ensure the scalability and reliability of our AWS infrastructure, powering the generation and delivery of content for thousands of websites.
  • Write and Maintain Automated Tests: Develop and execute automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure the quality and reliability of our software.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Share your technical expertise through mentoring junior developers, participating in internal talks, and providing input on user documentation.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Technologies: Utilize cutting-edge technologies and tools, such as Bitbucket, Docker, Git, IntelliJ, Java, Spring, AWS, Localstack, and more.
About You

We're looking for a talented individual with a passion for clean, portable, and well-documented code. You should have:

  • Experience in Building and Maintaining Back-End Code: Proven track record of developing and maintaining high-quality back-end code for dynamic modern web applications.
  • Excellent Understanding of Server-Side Java: Strong knowledge of Java 21, Spring Boot, and virtual threads.
  • Hands-on Experience with Maven, Git, and REST APIs: Proficiency in using these tools and technologies in your daily work.
  • Basic Understanding of Client-Side JavaScript: Familiarity with technologies like React, TypeScript, and Redux.
  • Relevant Education or Experience: A degree in applied Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or similar, or relevant work experience.
