About the Position:

The successful candidate will work on a three-year project focused on the development of a 3D chemical lifetime model for the middle atmosphere.
About the Project:
The project aims to advance our understanding of the chemical characteristic time (CCT) in the middle atmosphere. The CCT is a crucial parameter in understanding the changes in atmospheric chemical compounds and their impact on climate change scenarios. Despite its importance, there are several unsolved problems associated with the CCT, including the lack of consideration for production, the limited understanding of its diurnal and annual cycles, and the unknown effects of gravity waves and planetary waves.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a 3D chemical lifetime model for the middle atmosphere
- Investigate the diurnal and annual cycles of the CCT
- Examine the effects of gravity waves and planetary waves on the CCT
- Collaborate with the research team to advance our understanding of the CCT and its impact on climate change scenarios
